On the subject of Kaiju Girl ages, from SGAC: For my stance regarding this issue, I'm going to take my position based on age of consent laws. The actual phrase "age of consent" is not formally entered into legal statutes, yet it's a legal concept regarding sexual activity. It is the minimum age at which a person is considered to be legally competent of consenting to sexual acts. What is the age of consent considered to be? That actually varies by country. Governments have a vested interest in protecting children from sexual activity when they are not prepared for it. There are many reasons why age of consent laws need to remain in place in those countries.
However, the universe of the K-Girls is a fictional one. If one wants to be all legal as to when the girls should be going into sexual relations, by all means go ahead and keep the girls over 18 as dictated by the legal age of when those can willingly consent to perform pornography. However bear in mind that those laws vary by country too. The internet is an interesting place, in that jurisdictional restrictions have no bounds. The only legal statute that Shin would probably want to protect his website from is COPPA. There is no reason WHY Shin should have age of consent laws enacted on his girls. Why should one dictate the statutes as to when should have sexual relations into those who are potentially of age to have sexual inclinations? This is why Shin has decided to keep the K-Girls age subject to artistic interpretation.
