| Background Info | Born from radiation in the French Polynesia, GODZILLA, wreaked havoc on the city of New York while attempting to find a nest to give birth to its young. The overgrown lizard appeared unstoppable, until nuclear scientist and biologist Nick Tatopoulos and French Secret Service operative Phillipe Roache teamed up to take down the beast… with some help from the US military. Life in the greater Tri-State area around New York soon to return to normal… well almost! It appears the late, great Monster had left behind an heir to its throne. During a routine clean-up sweep of the city's decimated subway tunnels, Nick encounters a lone surviving egg. It was quite smaller then the others that Nick had seen, and while examining the egg, it hatched. Instead of containing some large lizard, a humanoid girl spilled out… right into Nick’s unsuspecting arms. Though the creature resembled a 6 year old human child, Nick could tell there was more to her then met the eye. Nick knew that if the Military found out about the girl, that they would eliminate the child or worse. Quickly he wrapped up the naked youth and took her home were the child actually bonded with him as a bizarre pseudo-parent figure. Parting company with the military task force headed by Major Hicks, Nick created his own environmentally-directed research outfit HEAT (Humanitarian Ecological Analysis Team). Recruiting a few of his colleagues from the original Godzilla. research team, as well as some new allies, Nick set out to not only study this new generation of Godzilla., but to lovingly raze her as his daughter and as a member of HEAT. New monsters of all types soon began to appear around the world. Natural, unnatural, man-made, alien, regal, reptilian, mammalian, insectoid, flying, floating, poisonous, electrified… Be it a result of nuclear testing, or a hole in the ozone layer. Whatever their origin, the beasts had humanity terrified and desperately in need of heroes. Officially an extension of the New York Institute of Technology's "World Assistance Program," HEAT soon to becomes the Earth's foremost Anti Monster Squad. Setting up a small research compound inside a derelict ferry terminal on the tip of Staten Island. HEAT headquarters quickly becomes a staging area for defending the world against monstrous threats and also for the careful study of Nick’s young mutant daughter, Ginoa. At first the military was not a strong believer in HEAT or the value of Ginoa. While Major Hicks was willing to give Nick a little leeway with his pet project… just so long as the pet didn't level any major cities. That was until Ginoa proved her worth in several key monster battles were the Military’s hardware became useless. Sense then, HEAT and Ginoa have helped the military in several endeavors, and Major Hicks has developed a soft spot in his heart for Ginoa. |
