Sean McGuinness is an artist, author and activist who uses digital photography and unconventional photoplasty to create unique art, a style he calls “Kaiju Punk”.
For over two decades he has created museum quality work while championing social justice, challenging the perceived standards of art, and producing a legacy webcomic. His philosophy is that while a good foundation in art education is important, a lack of it should not be a barrier into entering into the arts. He teaches up and coming artists how to market themselves and how to create a following for their craft. Most importantly, he stresses that enthusiasm, honesty and a good relationship with their community will carry them far, and that the most important acceptance comes from one’s self.
